Immediate Start – Initial 4 Weeks, With Further Work Available

We are a growing timber window and door installation business based in South East London, working on high-quality residential projects across London and the South East.

We are looking for a reliable and confident Van Driver / Fitter’s Mate to join our installation team for an immediate start.

The main requirement for this role is being a confident and experienced manual van driver. Previous experience with windows, doors or carpentry is not required.

• About the Role

The role will involve driving a company van across London and the South East, transporting materials and supporting our window and door fitters on site.

When not driving, you will work alongside our experienced fitters, helping with installations, moving materials, preparing work areas and carrying out general site duties.

You do not need previous window or door experience. We are primarily looking for someone who is reliable, practical, hardworking and confident driving a manual van around London.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a company-provided manual van

• Driving across London and the South East

• Transporting tools, windows, doors and other materials

• Assisting lead fitters with window and door installations

• Loading and unloading the van

• Supporting general site preparation and tasks

• Handling and moving materials safely

• Keeping the van and work areas clean and organised

• Working respectfully in occupied residential properties

• Communicating politely and professionally with customers

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence – essential

• Previous experience driving manual vans – essential

• Confident driving a manual van in London – essential

• Must live within London Zones 1–6

• Reliable and punctual

• Practical and willing to help on site

• Physically comfortable handling and moving materials

• Well-presented and professional with customers

• Comfortable working as part of a small team

• Window, door or carpentry experience is not required
