£17.62 per hour | £26.43 per hour overtime & Saturdays | £15 daily incentive

Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm

Sharp Skips is a well-established, family-run business with more than 43 years in the industry. We are looking for either an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team, or we would train inexperienced drivers on reduced pay. You wlll be delivering and collecting skips while providing a professional service to our customers. 

This is a hands-on driving role within a down-to-earth working environment where good drivers are recognised and supported.

We offer contracted hours but remain flexible, Saturday’s can be booked off at request.

Pay & Hours

• £17.62 per hour standard rate
• £26.43 per hour overtime rate
• Overtime rate applies before 7:00am and after 4:30pm
• £26.43 per hour on Saturdays
• £15 daily incentive payment, Monday to Saturday
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm
• 45-minute daily tachograph break is paid

What You'll Be Doing

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver and collect skips across various locations
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to maintain safety and compliance
• Following legal driving regulations and company procedures
• Recording deliveries and customer interactions accurately
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers

What You'll Need

• A valid HGV/LGV Class 2, Category C licence
• At least one year of Class 2 driving experience
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• A responsible driving record
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Holiday & Additional Information

• 28 days' annual leave
• 21 days are selectable
• Seven compulsory bank holidays
• Good Friday is a normal working day
• Holiday year begins on 1 July
• Incentive payment is paid monthly, one month in hand
• Working week runs from Friday to Thursday
• Payment is made by bank transfer every Thursday, one week in hand
• Clock-in and clock-out system
• Three-month probation period
